Starting point: At 13:00 p.m., we will be waiting for you at Cusco’s Main Square, in front of the majestic Cathedral. Here, our professional guide will welcome you and explain the details of the tour before starting this adventure through the treasures of the imperial city.
Visit to the Cathedral of Cusco: You will enter this imposing colonial temple, where you will admire its magnificent Andean baroque architecture. The paintings of the Cusco School decorate its interiors, and every corner is steeped in history and religious symbolism that will be explained to you in detail.
Qoricancha Tour: Next, you will head to the famous Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. You will explore its fine Inca structures and learn how this temple was transformed by the conquistadors to build the present-day Temple of Santo Domingo. You will observe a unique combination of architectural styles.
Sacsayhuaman Exploration: Leaving the center of Cusco, we will head to the impressive Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park. You will stroll among its huge blocks of perfectly fitted stone, while enjoying spectacular views of the city and the surrounding mountains. Our guide will tell you stories and curiosities of this ceremonial site.
