Hotels in the historic center
04:00 – 04:30 am
03:00 to 04:00 am – Pick up at the hotel and transfer to the South Valley – Breakfast
The day starts early. We will pick you up at your hotel between 03:20 and 04:00 am to start our trip to the South Valley. During the approximately 1.5 hour drive, you will enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant, while admiring the breathtaking views and warm weather that will give you a unique connection with nature.
05:00 to 07:30 am – Transfer to Japura – Start of the ATV adventure.
After a revitalizing breakfast, we will continue our journey to Japura, a journey of approximately 1 hour by car. Upon arrival, our guide will give you a short briefing on the use of the ATVs. We will start the tour exploring the fascinating landscape of the area, where you will have the opportunity to observe Andean camelids such as llamas and alpacas. After a 1 hour ride, we will arrive at the parking area for the ATVs.
07:30 to 09:30 am – Arrival to the Colored Mountain – Return to Japura.
From here, we will hike for 35 to 45 minutes until we reach the impressive Colored Mountain. If you prefer to avoid the hike, you can rent motorcycles or horses directly with the local people, although this service has an additional cost (100 soles approx). At the Montaña de Colores, you will have time to take pictures, record videos and receive a detailed explanation from our guide about the geological formation and history of the place. Afterwards, we will return to the starting point of the ATVs to continue the trip back to Japura.
10:30 am to 05:00 pm – Return to the transport – Lunch and return to Cusco.
After the activity at the Montaña de Colores, we will leave the ATVs and head to a local restaurant where you will enjoy a buffet lunch. After an hour of travel, we will board the transport to return to the city of Cusco, where we will finish the tour around 05:00 pm in the center of the city, ending at the Plaza Regocijo.
