Intipunku also known as sun gate, place where the Incas built this construction to venerate and thank the sun god, as a moment of rest, this tour is made for people who like to walk and interact with new cultures because on the way we will meet some villagers, crosses the Urubamba river offering an extensive view of the sacred valley of the Incas and Ollantaytambo, also getting to see the Mount Veronica and the Cordillera Vilcanota.

Our first stop will be in Ollantaytambo, where you will have approximately 30 minutes to have breakfast or buy snacks and water for the hike.
Then, we continue by transport to the community of Cachiccata, the starting point of the hike. Here, our guide will give a brief talk with important indications and details about the stops along the way.
The hike lasts approximately 3 hours, depending on the pace of the group. Along the way, we will observe the ancient chullpas of Cachiccata, pre-Inca burial structures, and further on, the historic Inca quarry, from where huge blocks of stone were transported to Ollantaytambo.
Arriving at our final destination, Inti Punku, the “Gateway to the Sun”, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Nevado Veronica and the Andean landscape. You will have time to rest, take pictures and enjoy your box lunch surrounded by nature.
Finally, we will start the return walk to the community of Cachiccata, where the transportation back to your hotel in Cusco will be waiting for us, a journey of approximately 2 hours.
