Tour Sacred Valley of the Incas, visit this beautiful valley full of culture, history and tradition. It was the main cultivation area of the Incas, you will also visit Ollantaytambo called the last living Inca village and finally you will observe the process of wool in Chinchero.
Hotels in the Historic Center
07:00 – 07:30 am
In the morning we will pick you up at your hotel from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m., then we will travel by tourist transport to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first visit will be to the Archaeological Park of Pisac, we will tour the entire upper part of the complex while the guide will give the explanation of the place. At the end of the visit we will go to the town of Pisac, where we will observe the process of silver to become beautiful jewelry, Pisac is characterized by having good master jewelers. Then our next stop will be in Urubamba, traveling along the banks of the Vilcanota River after coordination with the guide we will have a buffet lunch. After lunch in the afternoon we will visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, there we will have the opportunity to walk along the terraces and get an idea of how it was built. Finishing the visit to Ollantaytambo we will continue our tour to Chinchero, where we will observe the process of the alpaca wool. At the end of the wool process we will return to Cusco, arriving at 7:00 pm.
Pisac: Está constituido por agrupamientos de restos arqueológicos entre los cuales destacan andenes, acueductos, caminos asociados a murallas y portadas, cauces hídricos canalizados, cementerios y puentes.
Ollantaytambo: Fue edificado durante la época inca como un área fortificada que incluye un templo, andenes y un sector urbano. Se pueden distinguir dos sectores: uno denominado “Araqama Ayllu”, zona vinculada al culto y la religión; y el segundo “Qosqo Ayllu”, conjunto dedicado a la vivienda.
Chinchero: En los talleres de las asociaciones de artesanas se exponen diariamente todo el proceso del tejido, desde el lavado de la lana, hasta el producto final, en la que uno puede ser testigo de las técnicas de hilado, teñido y tejido que aun practica el pueblo chincherino. Actualmente son muy reconocidos los textiles de Chinchero por su dedicación en la elaboración y por mantener como base la tradición textil inca, principalmente por su muy conocido tejido del “LORAYPO”.
