MODERN LIMA
We begin the tour with a visit to the Miraflores district, where we will explore the famous Parque del Amor (The Park of Love), which offers a beautiful view of Lima’s coastline and the Pacific Ocean. We will then enjoy a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca ceremonial pyramid-shaped temple that has preserved much of its original structure over the years. Afterward, we will walk through Bosque El Olivar in the district of San Isidro, considered the financial center of the city.
COLONIAL LIMA
We will visit the city’s historic center, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. Known as the “City of Kings,” Lima invites us to explore Plaza San Martín, where we will admire its beautiful architecture, balconies, and old colonial mansions. We will also visit the iconic Hotel Bolívar, located in the same square. We will then head to Plaza Mayor, where we can admire the Government Palace, Lima Cathedral, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, and Desamparados Station, among others.
CONVENT AND CATACOMBS OF SAN FRANCISCO
We will end the tour with a visit to one of the most important convents of the 17th century. We will explore the ancient library, the choir, the main cloister, and the underground crypts known as the catacombs.
